Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic intends to extend his current contract with the Nerazzurri, with Croat’s desire to stay on with his current club beyond next season.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 28-year-old is considered an extremely important player at the club and that the midfielder also wants to stay on in spite of having received offers in the summer.

Brozovic’s current deal is set to expire at the end of June 2022, and the club do not want to risk losing him on a free transfer next summer and so plan to try and secure his future with an extension agreement soon.

The player is on the same page, and it is his intention to come to an agreement with the club on a new deal, though it remains to be seen if one can be found.

Brozovic has been an integral squad member at the Nerazzurri for several seasons, having been one of the first names on the teamsheet under previous manager Antonio Conte, and the club are hoping that he will also play an important role under Simone Inzaghi for seasons to come.
