Alejandro Camano, agent of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, has given an update on the contract talks of the 24-year-old, explaining that the negotiations are progressing but that more details remain to be worked out before an agreement is found.

Speaking to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, the agent explained that Martinez wants to stay at the club and agree a new contract and that talks are going well, but that they still must iron out key details.

Martinez’s current contract is set to expire at the end of June 2022, and the Nerazzurri are keen to secure his future with a new deal, and have been in talks with Camano with a view to quickly reaching an agreement.

The striker is ready to commit his future, but as of yet he has not signed a new contract, and it remains to be seen how much more needs to be done before a new deal is confirmed.

Asked whether the contract extension has been agreed, Camano explained, “Not yet, we are working on it with Inter, everything is going well. It is not yet completed, there are details left before the deal can be closed. The will is to move forward together, the important thing is that Lautaro is very happy at Inter.”
