Simone Inzaghi would have built his team around Christian Eriksen had the Dane been available to him this season, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by FcINternews, the Danish midfielder would have played a much more attacking role under Simone Inzaghi than he did under Antonio Conte.
Christian Eriksen struggled to show his best last season because Antonio Conte has his teams play in a much more positionally rigid style than Simone Inzaghi does.
The free role that Hakan Calhanoglu seems to be enjoying in the attack and midfield of this new Inter team is likely where Christian Eriksen will have played and it would have suited him a lot.
Of course, the most important thing is that the Danish midfielder is now safe after the cardiac arrest that he suffered on the pitch during Euro 2020 in Denmark’s opening game of the tournament against Finland
