Sampdoria’s newest striker, Francesco Caputo, has made it clear that he thinks his new side can cause Inter problems if they work together as a unit, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Speaking during an interview with 19th Century, as reported by L’Interista, Francesco Caputo explained that Inter are a very good team but the result is far from being a foregone conclusion as Sampdoria are capable of causing the Nerazzurri issues.

“Tackling Inter, which is a great team, always gives you great incentives and we are aware that we can only put them in difficulty if we play as a team.”

The ex-Sassuolo man also explained that he is in a physical condition that makes him ready to face Inter straight away for his new side, so he will be hoping for a debut Sampdoria goal and win against the Italian Champions.

“I’m fine, I’ve always trained, I’m physically ready because I played in the first league games for Sassuolo.”

Simone Inzaghi may be playing a weaker squad than Sampdoria may have expected to face because of the Champions League game against Real Madrid just three days after the league match against Sampdoria on Sunday.
