Arturo Vidal and Matias Vecino will not be back in Italy in time after international duty to have any part to play in the clash with Sampdoria at the weekend, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, the Chilean and the Uruguayan will not return to Italy until Saturday morning and therefore will not be able to train or recover in time to play any part in the match for Simone Inzaghi.

The Argentine pair, Joaquin Correa and Lautaro Martinez, will be evaluated in training this afternoon to see what part they could play in the match. It is likely that they will be rested for Real Madrid next Wednesday instead.

Alexis Sanchez is available but is severely lacking in match fitness so may only make an appearance off the bench at most.

Stefano Sensi is expected to start behind Edin Dzeko.
