Inter striker Edin Dzeko is expected to lead the line for the Nerazzurri against Sampdoria on Sunday, and the Bosnian has a superb record against the Blucerchiati.

According to Opta, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, Sampdoria are amongst Dzeko’s most favoured opponents in Serie A based on his scoring record at former club Roma.

The 34-year-old has struck six goals against them for the Giallorossi since arriving from Manchester City in 2015, and has three in his last three games.

Indeed, only Atalanta have conceded as many goals to Dzeko in the Italian top flight, and Inter will be hoping that he can continue his streak at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, with the Bosnia international expected to start.

Dzeko joined Inter from Roma this summer to replace Chelsea-bound Romelu Lukaku, and has netted once in his opening two games for the Nerazzurri.

The former Wolfsburg striker was the third highest scorer in Roma’s history, having struck 119 times for the capital club.
