Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi could find himself no longer being picked by Italy boss Roberto Mancini if he continues to get injured on international duty, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roberto Mancini has repeatedly chosen Stefano Sensi for his Italy squads because he clearly feels the Inter man has a lot to offer.

He always struggles with injuries, however, including the one that stopped him from taking part on Euro 2020 this summer.

He also suffered a small injury this week that kept him out of the squad for the most recent international break.

This has worked well for Simone Inzaghi though, as the midfielder will be fit again in time to face Sampdoria on Sunday, allowing him to give Hakan Calhanoglu a rest, who has been playing for Turkey this week.

Edin Dzeko will be the man to lead the line.
