Lautaro Martinez may start Inter’s next Serie A match against Sampdoria despite many thinking he would be rested after the international break, according to a report in the Italian media this evening.
As has been reported this evening by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the training session that Lautaro Martinez was a part of this afternoon after landing back in the country went very well and he is now in contention for a starting spot against Sampdoria.
It was expected that he and Joaquin Correa would be rested so that they can remain fresh for the visit of Real Madrid to San Siro in the Champions League on Wednesday.
They only landed back in the country on Friday morning after taking part in three games for Argentina in World Cup qualifying.
It is worth noting that one game only lasted a few minutes as it was suspended due to coronavirus based confusion.
