Another two thousand tickets will be available to Inter supporters for the Champions League group stage opener against Real Madrid at the Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that with Real Madrid having given up the two thousand seats available for away fans, Nerazzurri supporters will be able to purchase the tickets.

With fans returning to stadiums this season, teams are finally getting the opportunity to play in front of support, with the presence of cheering fans undoubtedly playing a factor in creating a different match atmosphere compared to that which players have become accustomed to during the pandemic.

This will be starkly illustrated in Wednesday’s match, with 38,000 Inter fans set to be in attendance cheering on their team for the first big European night of the new season, and this could set the tone for the match.
