Inter forward Alexis Sanchez could still start up front alongside Edin Dzeko in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Sampdoria tomorrow.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the favourite to start alongside Dzeko remains Stefano Sensi but that the Chilean would also be an option.

The only certainty in the Nerazzurri’s forward line for tomorrow’s match is that Dzeko will be selected, with manager Simone Inzaghi otherwise set to choose between reprising Sensi’s role as an attacking midfielder from the opening day match with Genoa, handing a start to one of the late-returning Argentine forwards, or possibly even starting Sanchez.

Sanchez is ready to make his return having recovered from a calf injury and trained with the squad, although it remains to be seen whether he would be entrusted to play from the start.

The 32-year-old will at least be on the bench for tomorrow’s match, but even a spot in the starting eleven cannot be ruled out.
