Inter could have a good omen ahead of tomorrow’s Serie A clash with Sampdoria, having won five of their previous matches immediately back from international breaks.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who note that among Serie A teams the Nerazzurri lead the way for results in the first games played after international breaks, per data from Opta.

Returning from an international break can be difficult for club sides, with players often not yet back into their best form and the team struggling to find a rhythm having been on international duty.

This dilemmas is illustrated in particular by the fact the Nerazzurri manager Simone Inzaghi will likely have to rotate his starting eleven around the fact that the late-returning South American players are not likely to be ready to start tomorrow’s match.

However, Inter have shown an impressive resiliency and tendency to start back strong over the past two seasons, and Inzaghi will hope that he can make another impressive addition to this record.
