Midfielder Stefano Sensi looks to be the likeliest player to start alongside Edin Dzeko up front for Inter during the Serie A clash with Sampdoria tomorrow.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that manager Simone Inzaghi is likely to reprise the 26-year-old’s role as an attacking midfielder behind Dzeko from the Genoa match.

Inzaghi will have some selection dilemmas on his hands, with players involved in international duty having only just returned to be with the squad, and the clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday potentially necessitating rotating the squad.

To this end, Sensi looks likely to play ahead of Argentines Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa, who will likely not be ready to start given their recent returns, and Alexis Sanchez who has only just returned from injury.

As such, Inzaghi will likely utilize the same system as he did in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A opener, against Sampdoria’s city rivals Genoa.

Meanwhile, the likes of Federico Dimarco or Andrea Ranocchia could still be rotated into the defense, though it remains unclear if this will be the case.
