Italian journalist Fabio Caressa has given his prediction that Inter will drop points in their first match back from the international break tomorrow, stating that he expects a draw in their clash with Sampdoria at the Marassi.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio Deejay, as reported by L’Interista, the journalist predicted that the Nerazzurri would struggle to get more than a point against Roberto D’Aversa’s men in their return from the break.

Sampdoria have managed only one point from their opening two matches in Serie A against AC Milan and Sassuolo while Inter’s record is perfect after two matches, suggesting that the defending champions would be favourites for many observers.

However, given the difficulty of returning to the pitch at club level with several players struggling with fatigue after a taxing international break, and the quality in Sampdoria’s squad, the Nerazzurri cannot take anything for granted, and Caressa believes that they will likely only take a point from the Marassi.
