The Sampdoria bench gave encouraging words to Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi after he was forced off with an injury towards the end of the Nerazzurri’s clash with Sampdoria at the Marassi earlier today.

This according to Inter TV, via FCInter1908, who report that Sampdoria players gave their support to the 26-year-old, wanting to give their gestures of sympathy and good wishes.

Sensi will feel disappointed to have suffered a knee injury during today’s match, with the midfielder having missed large portions of last season through injury and hoping to be fit and in form this season.

It is not yet clear how long the 26-year-old will be out with this new problem, but another setback will not be encouraging given his desire to get his career back on track.

His opponents in today’s match will have recognized this feeling as fellow professionals, and they reached out to give their support to Sensi after it was clear that he could not go on.
