Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi could select both Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa to start up front together against Real Madrid on Wednesday in the Champions League.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Argentine duo could both play from the start, while Denzel Dumfries could also start on the right.

The Nerazzurri enter a period of the season in which the squad will have to be balanced between a number of competitions to avoid exhaustion of the players and get the best out of a deep squad at the manager’s disposal.

Already Inzaghi will have a selection dilemma up front, and he could look to use the speed of Joaquin Correa rather than turning to Edin Dzeko when he decides on a starting eleven to face Real, while Martinez is likely to start the match.

Meanwhile, Dumfries could make his first start for the Nerazzurri in the Champions League group stage opener, with the Dutchman closed to preparedness to start and Matteo Darmian not having impressed in the role yesterday against Sampdoria.
