Italian media have given praise to Inter striker Lautaro Martinez for his display in yesterday’s Serie A clash with Sampdoria.

The Argentine received positive scores across the board for his performance in the 2-2 draw at the Marassi in the player ratings for the fixture in Italian newspapers.

Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport were most positive towards the 24-year-old in their ratings, assigning him a grade of 7/10 for a performance in which he bagged his second goal of the season to briefly give the Nerazzurri the lead.

Meanwhile, the striker received a slightly lower score of 6.5/10 from the likes of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, and Italian news outlet L’Interista.

The Argentine was not able to complete the match with fatigue setting in during the second half thanks to his commitments over the international break, but what he did show on the pitch was impactful and earned him praise.
