Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella has been deemed as the best Nerazzurri player on the pitch during yesterday’s draw away to Sampdoria by the Italian media.

This according to the player ratings in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, which praises the 24-year-old for his impact in the match and singles his display out as better than that of his teammates.

Barella received a grade of 7/10 for his performance in yesterday’s Serie A return from the international break, reflecting a solid display capped off with an assist following a strong run through midfield.

Also receiving 7/10 ratings were Milan Skriniar and Federico Dimarco, while the likes of Edin Dzeko, Stefan de Vrij, and Denzel Dumfries were all awarded 6.5/10 scores.

Samir Handanovic, Hakan Calhanoglu, Marcelo Brozovic, Joaquin Correa, and Arturo Vidal all got middling grades of 5.5/10 from the Corriere for their performances, while Ivan Perisic was deemed to be Inter’s worst performer at the Marassi with a score of only 5/10.
