Napoli are interested in bringing in Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana next summer on a free transfer, with the Cameroonian also still an Inter target.

This according to Italian news outlet NerazzurriSiamoNoi.it, who report that Onana is still considering his future and that the Nerazzurri could be beaten to his signing by the Partenopei.

Onana is out of contract at the end of June 2022, and with no new deal having been agreed with Ajax he could leave the Dutch champions as a free agent next summer, or his club could look to sell him in January in order to receive a fee for him.

The 25-year-old rejected a move to Lyon over the summer despite an offer from the French club, with his entourage believing that he could receive a more lucrative contract if he waits to move as a free agent.

The Nerazzurri are thought to be in advanced talks with the player and his entourage about a move next summer, with the Cameroonian seen as a long-term replacement for Samir Handanovic, but so far no agreement is in place.

Napoli are on the lookout for a new keeper as well, with David Ospina’s current deal expiring next summer and Alex Meret yet to cement a starting position, and they could yet beat Inter to his signature.
