Matteo Darmian and Edin Dzeko are favourites to keep their places from the first three Serie A matches in tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the pair are part of the probable starting eleven to start in the group stage opener at the San Siro tomorrow.

Simone Inzaghi will have a number of selection dilemmas on his hands for tomorrow’s match, with the manager having to be careful to rotate his squad as they enter a busy period while being mindful of the significance of the fixture and putting out a strong team.

Darmian could face competition on the right from summer signing Denzel Dumfries, while both Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa will be in contention to start alongside Dzeko, or both of the Argentine could play together up front, though the likeliest appears to be Martinez and Dzeko together.

The likely starting eleven for the match is as follows:

INTER (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Darmian, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic; Dzeko, Lautaro.
