Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni has taken part in a regular training session with the rest of the squad after recovering from a thigh injury which affected him recently

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 22-year-old is back in contention to start in tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

Bastoni missed Sunday’s trip to the Marassi to face Sampdoria in Serie A as he was still getting over a minor thigh knock which he had picked up while on international duty with Italy during the international break.

The defender is all recovered from the injury, though it has not been clear whether he would be fully fit and ready to appear from the start as early as tomorrow’s Champions League group stage opener at the San Siro.

It remains to be seen if Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi will select Bastoni or if he will rely on Federico Dimarco or someone else instead, but the 22-year-old looks to be close to be full fitness after the full training session today.
