Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is set to start with Ivan Perisic and Matteo Darmian as wide players in this evening’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 45-year-old will keep the same wing-back partnership that he has used in the three Serie A matches so far.
Inzaghi will have a number of decisions to make with his squad, with a number of options available in every position, and in the wide areas there is real competition for the coach as he looks to put out the strongest and most balanced possible team to try and get the better of the La Liga leaders.
However, it looks as though the return of Alessandro Bastoni to the starting lineup in place of Federico Dimarco will be the only change from the Serie A fixture against Sampdoria at the Marassi on Sunday and that Perisic and Darmian will keep their places ahead of Dimarco and summer signing Denzel Dumfries.
