Inter goalkeeper Alex Cordaz has suggested that Inter still have plenty of time to make up for the 1-0 defeat they suffered against Real Madrid on Wednesday night, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking to the Nerazzurri’s official club channel, Inter TV, as reported by FcINternews, Alex Cordaz explained that the squad are feeling bitter after the late defeat but the team still played very well.

“We had a great match, but there is bitterness about the result. We have plenty of time to make up for it.  The team are confident and the road is long.”

Inter were very impressive in the first half of the opening match of Group D. Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez had great opportunities to put the Nerazzurri into the lead.

The problem was that Thibaut Courtois had a phenomenal game in goal for the Spanish visitors and Inter just could not find a way past the Belgian.

Real Madrid improved in the second half as Inter began to tire. Simone Inzaghi’s substitutions did not pay off and Rodrygo stole the point for Real Madrid in the final minute.
