Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has expressed his confidence that Inter will make it out of the Champions League group this season despite losing to Real Madrid, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with Sky Sport after the game, with quotes reported by FCInter1908, the Croatian explained that Inter will have what it takes to win three or four group games this season and will get into the next round.

“We only won 5 games in the Champions League in recent years. That is not many victories but this year we will win 3-4 games for sure and qualify from the group.”

He also explained that despite Inter’s dominance for so much of the game against Real Madrid, they cannot be too annoyed by the result because they failed to score.

They also did not protect the ball well enough as the game wore on and was still 0-0.

“We made too many mistakes, we didn’t score and if you don’t score in the end you might lose.

“We wanted to play the attackers right away, in my opinion, we have to manage the ball better and finish 0-0 if you can’t score.”

Inter were left deflated when Rodrygo scored the winning goal for Real Madrid in the 89th minute, but there was some clear positives to take from the performance.
