Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni could be rested by Simone Inzaghi for tomorrow’s league game against Bologna at San Siro, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Sky Sport in Italy, the young Italian defender could be left out of the Serie A clash so that he can maintain his fitness for the difficult run of games that Inter have coming up.

Before the next international break in October, Inter has to face Fiorentina, Atalanta, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Sassuolo.

All of these opponents are capable of giving Inter a seriously difficult match so Simone Inzaghi needs to balance the fitness of his players.

That is why there is a chance that Matias Vecino could make his first start of the season for the Nerazzurri so that Simone Inzaghi can rest one of the midfield stars.

There also could be a start for Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal.
