Ex-Bologna and Inter player Gaby Mudingayi has labelled the Nerazzurri as one of the club’s that may win the Scudetto at the end of this Serie A season, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with Bologna website 1000 Cuori Rossoblu, Gaby Mudingayi explained that playing with the Inter short gives a player an incredible level of confidence that cannot be found elsewhere.

“I played with the Nerazzurri shirt and with that on you feel the strongest in the world and in terms of confidence it makes a lot of difference.”

Speaking further about Inter, he explained that the departures of Antonio Conte, Achraf Hakimi, and Romelu Lukaku has weakened the club but they have still done well in the transfer market.

“The departures of Conte, Hakimi and Lukaku would have weakened everyone, but the club was good at intervening on the market by placing the right shots and taking a technician with a bright future.

“Bologna are facing one of the candidates for the Serie A title.”

He then continued to talk about Inter’s opponents for the clash on Saturday at San Siro, Bologna. He is clearly pleased with the two wins that Bologna already have over Hellas Verona and Salernitana, but was more pleased by the draw with Atalanta.

“Bologna won the matches they were supposed to win against Salernitana and Verona, but what gives me hope is Atalanta’s draw.

“Tomorrow there will be the real test. In my career I have won only once against Inter at the Meazza. Unforgettable, it was a perfect match.”

He also said that the club needs to aim higher and not settle for mid-table.

“Bologna is a strong club that one brick at a time must aim high and not be satisfied.”
