Inter are hoping that once Lautaro Martinez signs a new contract with the club, he will become one of the major leaders within the dressing room, according to a report in the Italian print media today.
As has been reported today by the print edition of Roman newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Lautaro Martinez is going to have even more expectations and spotlight on him this season.
Because of the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea in late August, Lautaro Martinez is the primary source of goals in the team.
The club are hoping that with this new importance and the new contract he is supposedly about to sign, he will find a new level to his performances and score even more than he did last season.
The Nerazzurri also need the likes of Edin Dzeko, Alexis Sanchez, and Joaquin Correa to score enough gals to offset the departure of Romelu Lukaku.
