Inter have managed to stay 25th in the European club rankings despite their defeat to Real Madrid on Wednesday in the Champions League, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FcINternews, Inter remains 25th and the top position is still held by the Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich. They beat Barcelona 3-0 in the Nou Camp on Tuesday evening and looked extremely comfortable.

They also won the Champions League in the 2019/20 campaign, beating Paris Saint Germain in the final.

Inter would need to have an excellent Champions League campaign this season to boost themselves up the rankings.

Another group stage exit would be very bad for the club’s image in UEFA’s flagship tournament. The likes of Barcelona and Manchester City still remain near the top of the list, with Chelsea rising further thanks to winning the tournament last season at Manchester City and Pep Guardiola’s expense.
