Inter’s strike force needs to adapt to the new expectations put on them after Romelu Lukaku’s departure if Inter are going to have a successful season, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, there was always the realistic possibility that it would take Inter’s strikers some time to bed in either at their new club or with their new manager if they were already with the Nerazzurri.

The performances in the past two games though have left many Inter fans worried that it may take too long for the team to become prolific.

Inter have had 26 shots combined in the 2-2 draw against Sampdoria and the 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday evening. To only score twice from that many shots is concerning for Simone Inzaghi.

Players like Alexis Sanchez and Joaquin Correa will need to chip in with more goals than they have before.
