The Sampdoria goalkeeper has praised Inter defender Federico Dimarco for his wonderful free-kick goal against Sampdoria last weekend, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Whilst speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, Emil Audero explained that the free-kick was perfectly struck and that even though it went in, his goalkeeping positioning was actually correct. It was just so good that no one could reach it.

“Dimarco shot very well, I was beaten in the best way because my positioning was right. If I had been further across I think it would have been even more difficult. It was a great goal.”

That goal out Inter 1-0 up in Genoa in the 18th minute, but the Nerazzurri did not hold the lead for very long. Maya Yoshida managed to draw Sampdoria level after half an hour, before Lautaro Martinez put Inter 2-1 up at half time.

That goal from the Argentine was also impressive as he volleyed in a pass from Nicolo Barella who had just made an excellent run.

Immediately after the game resumed though, another great goal was scored, this time by Tommaso Augello to make it 2-2 with a lovely volley.
