Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal will not be available for selection in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Genoa at the San Siro this evening due to a thigh strain.

This is confirmed by a tweet on the Nerazzurri’s official account where they explain that the Chilean will miss out on the fixture thanks to the strain in his right thigh.

Vidal had appeared in all three of Inter’s Serie A matches up to this point as well as in Wednesday’s Champions League group stage opener against Real Madrid, all from the bench.

However, the thigh strain which the 34-year-old has picked up will keep him out of the lineup for this evening’s match.

It is unclear how long the midfielder will be out with the knock as the Nerazzurri are in the midst of a busy period in the schedule, but he will hope that he can recover soon and feature once again.

The tweet reads: “Arturo Vidal will not be available to Simone Inzaghi for the match against Bologna due to a strain in his right thigh.”
