Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Saponara feels that this Tuesday’s clash between La Viola and Inter at the Stadio Artemio Franchi will be an excellent match.

Speaking to his club’s official social media channel, as reported by FCInterNews, the 29-year-old reflected on the importance of his side’s match with Inter.

Headed into this Tuesday’s Serie A fixture, La Viola are on nine points out of a possible twelve, while the Nerazzurri are on ten, so the match represents a coming together of two of the form teams in the league.

Saponara, who scored the decisive goal in his team’s 2-1 defeat of Genoa at the Marassi yesterday, is looking forward to the tough test that will be presented by the Nerazzurri’s visit, and believes that it is an opportunity for Vincenzo Italiano’s men to continue to prove themselves and keep their strong start to the season going in the best possible way.

“If we had lost here we could say it was better because we would have played again immediately, so let’s say that we can face a great match with enthusiasm,” he said. “Let’s face this with the spirit of self-belief and play with enthusiasm.”
