Inter showed great attacking strength and control of the game in their 6-1 win over Bologna at the San Siro yesterday evening, but they still have problems that need to be improved upon.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Libero, who argue that there are still defensive lapses which characterize this Nerazzurri side, and that their trip to Tuscany to face Fiorentina during the week will be a sterner test of their qualities.

The Nerazzurri responded well to their draw against Sampdoria and frustrating Champions League defeat at the hands of Real Madrid with an emphatic win against an in-form Bologna side, in which five different players got on the scoresheet.

However, a careless late goal as the result of defensive inattention and a few other situations throughout the match demonstrate that there is still room to improve in dealing with defensive situations.

On Tuesday, Simone Inzaghi’s men face Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi for their fifth Serie A match of the season, and they will have to be at their best and keep defensive errors to a minimum if they hope to take a result away.
