Inter defender Milan Skriniar looks set to agree on a contract extension with the Nerazzurri, with an agreement in principle existing between the parties on the terms for a new deal.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the 26-year-old is likely to put pen to paper on a new contract in the coming weeks.

After a summer of upheaval which saw two important players leave the club in major sales, the Nerazzurri have made securing the futures of key players a priority.

To this end they are wasting no time in agreeing a new deal with the Slovak defender, which would see him commit his future to the club until the end of June 2025, and would see his salary from a net of €3 million per season to €4 million net plus bonuses.

Skriniar has underlined his importance to the Nerazzuri with some strong performances at the beginning of the season, and the club will be glad to have an agreement on a new deal all ready to go.
