Italian journalist Fabio Caressa believes that this Inter team have found a good balance of physicality and technical ability in how they approach games.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, the journalist gave his views on the Nerazzurri after an emphatic 6-1 victory over Bologna at the San Siro over the weekend.

Despite the losses of key men Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku over the summer, Inter have retained a balanced and deep squad, featuring both the majority of last season’s Scudetto-winning stalwarts and a number of important new signings.

Fashioned into a new-look team by head coach Simone Inzaghi after the departure of Antonio Conte, this Nerazzurri do not look like the finished article yet, but they have already impressed and they put in their best display of the season on Saturday with their rout of Sinisa Mihajlovic’s Rossoblu team.

Caressa believes that this performance showed the true strength of Inter, stating that “Inter have achieved an amazing victory. They have put in a truly incredible demonstration of physical strength, as well as technique.”

“Dumfries is impressive,” he said of the summer signing who made his first start of the season in the match, “This is an Inter Milan that has great intelligence it seems to me. Dumfries is the full-back who overall, across Europe, has scored the most goals and made the most assists.”
