Joaquin Correa and Arturo Vidal both remain serious doubts to be available for selection in tomorrow’s trip to Tuscany to face Fiorentina in Serie A.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the pair look likely to be ruled out for tomorrow’s match unless their conditions seriously improve quickly, and that the match against Atalanta over the weekend is a likely return date for both.

Correa had to come off the pitch injured in the first half of Saturday’s Serie A clash with Bologna after a collision with Rossoblu defender Lorenzo Di Silvestri left him in some discomfort.

Tests at the Humanitas clinic revealed that the Argentine had avoided a serious injury such as a fracture or tear but that he had sustained a contusion, and he will likely miss the Fiorentina clash while he recovers from this.

Meanwhile, Vidal had been absent from the Bologna match at the San Siro due to a thigh strain, and he will likely miss the match at the Stadio Artemio Franchi as well as he is yet to fully put the physical problem behind him.
