Inter Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello has made clear that Inter owners Suning are still supporting the club financially amid rumours that they are looking for new investors.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, the CEO spoke about the relationship of the club to Suning and made clear that the Chinese company are still behind the Nerazzurri, and stated that his role is to make sure that the club is run smoothly.

Inter’s financial issues have been well-reported for some time, with the club having endured a difficult summer transfer window as they prioritized balancing their accounts and meeting financial targets.

Meanwhile, Suning have also had problems with liquidity and debt, leading to some speculation that their control of the Nerazzurri could be under threat.

However, Antonello stated that he and the rest of the Nerazzurri’s directors are still working in concert with Suning and trying to keep the club on track.

“Suning has always supported the club and I believe will still support it,” he was clear. “We managers have to think about getting the right results on and off the pitch, then what happens will happen.”
