Inter midfielder Matias Vecino is confident ahead of the Nerazzurri’s match with Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi this evening.

Speaking to Inter TV, the Uruguayan gave his predictions for the match, stating that La Viola would be a tough opponent but that the Nerazzurri would have enough to fight for all three points in Tuscany.

One point separates Inter and Fiorentina in the table, and each team will be hopeful of getting a positive result this evening, with the Nerazzurri hoping to continue their positive start to the season by building on their emphatic win against Bologna over the weekend.

However, Vincenzo Italiano’s men could well be the toughest opposition that Inter will have faced in Serie A this season and they will provide a tough test of the Nerazzurri’s Scudetto credentials.

Vecino believes that Inter are in good form and can rise to the occasion against a tough Viola side, stating that “We are in a good spot, it won’t be easy but we have everything we need to bring home the three points.”

On this evening’s opposition he said, “I expected them to do well because they have a good team overall, you can see great enthusiasm after their change of coach. We will have to be careful and play our game because it won’t be easy.”

On his thoughts about this season with Inter he said, “This year I see a free team attacking with players going forward a lot, we have scored many goals, but I see a team that is also good at defending which is the most important thing. However, we are only at the start and we have to prove ourselves.”
