Italian journalist Matteo Marani believes that Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has done very well to bring the Nerazzurri where they are at this season.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Marani heaped praise on the 45-year-old for his work to strengthen the Nerazzurri tactically after his arrival from Lazio over the summer.

Inter lost a top coach in the form of Antonio Conte when he decided to part ways with the club at the beginning of the summer, but they wasted no time in identifying the right replacement for the former Juventus, Chelsea, and Italy boss.

Inzaghi was brought in and he has so far lived up to expectations, with his team second in the table on the pack of emphatic performances and an excellent goalscoring haul despite a summer in which key players from last season were lost.

Marani believes that his quality has shone through, stating that “There is a excellent work by Simone Inzaghi on show, it seems that Inter are evolving. He has taken the best of what he has developed from his previous job.”

He went on, “He is interpreting it in his own way, especially in midfield where Inter has more freedom. This is an Inter who do not forgive you when you give them space.”
