Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is set to return to the Nerazzurri’s starting eleven against Fiorentina this evening, and his goalscoring record against La Viola could be a good omen for his club.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Turkish midfielder has scored four goals against Fiorentina whilst playing for AC Milan, including three at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Calhanoglu is not a player who is expected to score regularly from midfield, but he does occasionally chip in with goals, and Fiorentina are among his favourite opponents.

The 27-year-old has bagged 23 goals while in Serie A, but four of those coming against La Viola could suggest that Vincenzo Italiano’s men will have to worry about the Turk finding his radar against them tonight.

The Nerazzurri will know that they must be clinical when the chances fall to them on their trip to Tuscany, and the Turk could well find his second goal in an Inter shirt against familiar opposition.
