Inter forward Joaquin Correa looks set to be fit for the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Atalanta on Saturday.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Argentine will likely recover from the bruise that ruled him out of yesterday’s match against Fiorentina in time fore the fixture.

Correa was forced to leave the pitch in some discomfort during the first half of the Nerazzurri’s match with Bologna over the weekend, following a collision with Rossoblu defender Lorenzo Di Silvestri.

Tests revealed that the Argentine had not suffered any serious injury but that he had sustained a contusion to his pelvis following the strong challenge.

Manager Simone Inzaghi decided not to risk the 27-year-old for yesterday’s match given that he was not fully healed from the bruise, but he is currently completing his recovery process at the Inter training ground and should be ready to make his return against Atalanta.
