Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella did not suffer an injury during the Nerazzurri’s clash with Fiorentina yesterday and will be available to be selected against Atalanta.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the minor thigh problem that the 24-year-old experienced after coming off as a substitute was nothing more than normal fatigue.

Barella left the pitch midway through the second half at the Stadio Artemio Franchi to be replaced in midfield by Matias Vecino, and when he too his place on the bench he applied ice to his right thigh.

This led to some speculation that the midfielder could have picked up a knock during the match, but this is not and he remains fit.

The 24-year-old has started every one of the Nerazzurri’s matches so far this season in addition to being involved with the Italian national team, and the discomfort suffered was the result of normal fatigue.
