Relations between directors of Inter and Fiorentina remain stable and pleasant despite comments by La Viola owner Rocco Commisso accusing the Nerazzurri and Juventus of not following the same league rules as other Italian clubs.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta and his counterpart Joe Barone had been sharing smiles and laughter while interacting in the stands during the match between their respective clubs at the Stadio Artemio Franchi yesterday.

Commisso’s comments prior to the match yesterday had made for a story in the buildup to the Serie A clash, with the Nerazzurri strenuously denying any wrongdoing and making clear that they feel they are always in full compliance with the same rules on finances and spending as their Serie A rivals.

At any rate, the atmosphere between the clubs seems to have settled down, with Marotta and Barone having a pleasant chat prior to kickoff while the atmosphere in the stands was by all accounts relaxed.
