Inter are showing that they have more energy towards the end of games than most teams in the division do, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the fitness training that Inter are doing appears to be paying dividends already.

When other teams slow down in the second half of matches, Inter’s players seem to be able to find another gear to go into. This is evidenced by the fact that 11 of Inter’s 18 Serie A goals this season have come in the second half of matches.

It is believed that much of this physical prowess is thanks to fitness coach, Fabio Ripert. The trainer joined Inter from Lazio along with Simone Inzaghi at the start of the summer and is already finding results from his work.

This fitness advantage will be key for Inter in what will be a very long season.
