Legendary former Inter defender Beppe Bergomi believes that Inter showed how good they can be with their second half comeback win against Fiorentina on Tuesday.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Bergomi suggested that the Nerazzurri had given a highly encouraging display to defeat La Viola and that they proved that they have many qualities that will make them among the strongest teams in the league.

Inter had a difficult first half in Tuscany, struggling to cope with an intense pressing game by Vincenzo Italiano’s men and deservedly going in at the break a goal behind.

However, during the second leg they found the solutions they needed, playing a more composed an precise game in possession, scoring their chances, and looking more up for the game on a physical level.

Bergomi believes that his former club gave a demonstration that they are a serious force to be reckoned with against La Viola.

“Yesterday Inter gave a good demonstration of strength,” he said, “of knowing how to suffer, of having patience and knowing how to read the dynamics.”

He went on, “The thing that catches the eye is that they are a team with an immense physicality. They keep scoring from corners.”
