Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella will be fit enough to face Atalanta on Saturday evening despite going off injured against Fiorentina in midweek, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by La Gazzetta dello Sport, there was genuine fear amongst Inter fans that the young midfielder would be out for what will likely be Inte’s hardest game of the season so far.

He went off injured after 70 minutes at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Tuesday night with a thigh injury, which he was later seen putting ice on.

It seems the injury was nowhere near as serious as first feared and he is now back in the frame to start the match against Atalanta, who beat Sassuolo 2-1 on Tuesday night.

Nicolo Barella is expected to start every game he possibly can for Inter this season as he has remarkable energy levels and is still young.
