The referee for Inter’s 2-1 win over Fiorentina on Tuesday night has come under more criticism from those in the Italian football community, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Whilst speaking to the media, as has been reported by FCInter1908, former referee Graziano Cesari has been the latest to criticise the performance of Michael Fabbri during the match at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

He described the performance from the referee as “absolutely negative”, along with the Video Assistant Referee operatives who obviously have further access to everything that Michael Fabbri sees.

Some of the incidents that have been regularly highlighted include a push from Stefan de Vrij on Dusan Vlahovic that was rightfully punished, and then a similar incident when unpunished in the build-up to Fiorentina’s opening goal.

Later in the half, there was also a clear foul by Christian Biraghi which went completely unpunished by Michael Fabbri.
