Inter are currently looking in better shape after five Serie A matches than they were under Antonio Conte last season, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, Inter have three more points after five games than they did last season under Antonio Conte.

The Nerazzurri sit top of the division with 13 points, having only dropped points in the 2-2 draw with Sampdoria.

In those results, there was comeback wins away from home against Hellas Verona and Fiorentina which is always a positive sign of the spirit in the team.

The defence is stronger too. Only five goals have been conceded by Inter so far, but last year it was eight at this stage.

A major worry was the lack of goals in the team after Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku left the club, but in the first five fixtures the Nerazzurri have scored 18 times which is seven more than the next best teams.
