Inter are preparing to lock down star midfielder Nicolo Barella to a lucrative long term contract after his excellent start to the new campaign, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, Nicolo Barella is now viewed as one of the best midfielders in world football which is why Inter must act fast to secure his services.
It was recently determined that Nicolo Barella has been the second most productive midfielder in Europe so far this season as he has registered four Serie A assists.
The only player to have more than him in Europe so far is Manchester United’s Paul Pogba. Inter have many players that they wish to tie down to new contracts and the 24-year-old is rapidly moving himself to the top of the list.
He currently earns €2.5 million a season and that deal will run until June 2024.
