Inter will have their work cut out if they are to keep up with the other high-performing teams in Serie A this season due to some minor shortcomings in the squad, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the two teams that look as if they could genuinely finish ahead of the Nerazzurri this season are Napoli and city rivals AC Milan.

The former, managed by ex-Inter boss Luciano Spalletti, have now won all five of their first games and are the only team to achieve that. AC Milan have only dropped two points, just like Inter.

An area of weakness for Inter is that none of their three centre backs are particularly fast which is a problem when you play as high up the pitch as Inter do.

Another issue is that if Hakan Calhanoglu continues to be inconsistent, Inter could struggle to create. These problems can be offset by being fitter than everyone else, and making the most of set pieces where Inter are very strong.
