There is a chance that Ivan Perisic will sign a new contract at Inter despite it seeming clear he would be leaving next summer after his current deal expires, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Il Giornale today, the positive form that Ivan Perisic has been showing with Inter at the start of this new Serie A campaign has made him and the club think twice about whether he should leave the club or not.

His current deal will expire in June 2022 and given that he currently earns €5 million a season from the Nerazzurri, which is more than key players such as Nicolo Barella and Marcelo Brozovic.

That is why the club were happy to let him go, but now that the financial issues have been stemmed, they may feel his remarkable physical shape for a 32-year-old means he is worth keeping in the squad.
